Margate FC Under 23s are playing at home this evening. Jay Stubberfield’s team take on local rivals Ashford United with a kick-off time of 7:45pm. The match takes place at Margate Football Club which is located in Hartsdown Park Hartsdown Rd, CT9 5QZ, Margate, Kent.

Writers’ Tea and Chat
A friendly gathering of writers and other creative souls. Tea and Chat is run by Thanet Creative. As the name suggests a cup of tea and some friendly chat is on offer. An informal gathering for writers to support each other, get feedback and bounce some ideas around.
Tea and Chat had to take a break while the snow was here but now things have started to thaw, the event is back to the normal 7:30pm time slot.
What’s on Friday?
We’ve not found any specific events listed for Friday. There was a charity fundraiser quiz night scheduled for Friday but I have just heard that it has had to be cancelled.
What’s on Saturday?
Saturday seems to be a day with lots of events to chose from.
PQA Thanet Free Open Day
The free acting open day for kids and teens which we told you about is happening this Saturday. The open day takes place at The Charles Dickens School in Broadstairs. More information.
The Big Brew
Running from 10 to 12 at Elim Oasis Church in Broadstairs. The Big Brew to promote and raise funds for projects in the developing world. There will be tea, coffee, homemade cakes and a Traidcraft stall with fairtrade food and crafts. Find out more.

Hosted at the Turner Contemporary, this event celebrates 100 years since women first got the vote. Find out more here.
What’s on Sunday?
Landing Place – “Go get your teeth”
Landing Place at Turner Contemporary is where poets and spoken word performers arrive to showcase their words. “Go get your teeth” (a line from TS Eliot’s The Waste Land) is an all-women line-up – standing up to be heard in honour of International Women’s Day. Find out more.
