The Bay Tree Hotel in Broadstairs has defied local and seasonal trends becoming fully booked out mid-week in January.
The Bay Tree Hotel, which recently underwent extensive renovations, recently announced that it was fully booked in the middle of the week during what is normally the off-season. This Wednesday, every last one of their rooms was taken.
In a social media post, Owners Alistair Dixon and Robert Stone said, “We’re noticeably busy now, so we’d recommend booking early if you want to see our newly-refurbished hotel & restaurant!”
Visitors to the Bay Tree Hotel can also see unique Harry Potter art. The art is by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, who created the graphic universe of the entire Harry Potter film series. It is on display throughout the hotel.
Shown below is the library and bar where the covers of various wizarding publications and books can be seen.
You can find The Bay Tree Hotel at 12 Eastern Esplanade, Broadstairs or call on 01843 862 502.
Overall Trends in Tourism
From 2013 to 2015 Thanet saw a 4% increase in tourist stays in the area. Towards the end of last year, Thanet saw a small increase in footfall at Visitor Information Centres while Kent as a whole saw a 14.7% drop.
Clearly, the businesses of Thanet are doing something right.
